I posted: “Enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It’s seeing through the facade of pretense. It’s the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true.”-Adyashanti To which my mother responded: “The beautiful part of it is that through the most intense pain the enlightenment process brings us to a more pure way of thinking and understanding our own weaknesses. What knocks us to our knees teaches us to be humble. It softens us as a human being. Those of us who experience intense periods of pain learn to let emotions flow through us. Life is hard. Really hard. It’s never meant to be easy. The hardest part of these periods of pain is realizing life goes on. And on and on. And that is also the most beautiful part. There is always rebirth coming out the other side of hard times. It is our metamorphosis as a human being having our earth life experience. Be kind to yourself. Better ways of living are in your future. And you are being immersed in love. It’s all around you.” “You are being immersed in love. It’s all around you.” Sep 21, 2017 | Lessons From Claire |
